Your responsibilities will include:
- Development: Spearheading the creation of robust and scalable solutions by providing technical guidance and expertise to the Product and Marketing teams. You will be responsible for building the main features that power comparecredit.com and our CompareCredit Chrome extension.
- Architecting: Designing and architecting new features, experiences and product flows - ensuring that they align with our project goals and adhere to best practices.
- Optimizing our codebases: Identifying opportunities to enhance the performance and efficiency of our existing codebases, and implementing optimizations to ensure the best user experience.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Assisting in the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely solutions.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other teams and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Communication: Effectively communicating complex technical matters to both internal team members and external clients. Your ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner will be crucial.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Extensive Experience: A proven track record of developing and deploying web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React and Node.js.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Must haves:
- 5+ years of experience of Javascript / React development
- 1+ years of experience with Next.js
- Experience building dynamic e-commerce websites powered by a headless CMS.
- Experience with running experiments and implementing feature flags (A/B testing, etc...)
- Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD tools (ex: Github Actions, Vercel, etc...)
- Proven ability to write code for the future, with a strong focus on maintainability and testability.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously per the objectives/goals of the organization and execute to deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to design data models based on business domain use cases.
- Experience with machine learning and python.
- Experience solving credit card industry / domain related challenges.
- Experience with browser extensions.
- Full stack experience.
- Proficiency with Vercel, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Understanding of compliance requirements in the financial industry (e.g., CFCB, GDPR).
- Experience with data analytics tools and a strong focus on making decisions based on data insights.
