Job Description:

As a Senior SAS Programmer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining SAS programs and solutions to support data analysis and reporting needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet regulatory and business standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAS Programming: Develop and maintain SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and analysis purposes.

2. Data Analysis: Perform data validation, statistical analysis, and generate reports based on business requirements.

3. Database Management: Manage and optimize data sets and databases to ensure efficiency and data integrity.

4. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on SAS programs and outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.

5. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including program code, data dictionaries, and user manuals.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that support business objectives.

7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards in data handling and reporting.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SAS programming language and SAS tools (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS/STAT, etc.).
• Experience with data manipulation, transformation, and analysis using SAS.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data querying and management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with statistical methods and techniques for data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or related industries is a plus.
• Certification in SAS programming or related fields.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and scripting.
