Job Description:

As a Cognos/TM1 Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Cognos and TM1 solutions to support business intelligence and performance management initiatives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business users, and IT teams to deliver scalable and efficient BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cognos Development: Design, develop, and deploy Cognos BI reports, dashboards, and analytics based on business requirements. Utilize Cognos Framework Manager for metadata modeling and report development.

2. TM1 Development: Develop TM1 cubes, dimensions, rules, and TurboIntegrator (TI) processes to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functionalities.

3. Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources into Cognos and TM1 environments. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the BI solutions.

4. Performance Optimization: Optimize Cognos and TM1 applications for performance and scalability. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues related to data retrieval and report execution.

5. Documentation and Support: Document technical specifications, data mappings, and system configurations. Provide training and support to end-users on using Cognos and TM1 solutions effectively.

6. Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and validation of BI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with business requirements and data governance policies.

7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data architects, and finance stakeholders, to understand BI requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience (10+ years) as a Cognos/TM1 Developer or similar role, with expertise in designing and developing BI solutions using Cognos and TM1.
• Strong proficiency in Cognos BI tools (Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio) and TM1 components (Architect, Perspectives, Contributor).
• Experience with Cognos Framework Manager for metadata modeling and package deployment.
• Knowledge of TM1 TurboIntegrator scripting for automation and data loading processes.
• Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and querying.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex BI issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Certifications in Cognos and TM1 (e.g., IBM Certified Developer - Cognos BI, IBM Certified Developer - TM1).
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative software development methodologies.
