Job Description: 

We are looking for a skilled Tableau Developer to join our team. This role can be remote with occasional travel to client sites in Virginia. The Tableau Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports to support business intelligence needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Tableau, data visualization, and a solid understanding of data analysis and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data analysis needs and translate them into actionable visualizations.
• Optimize Tableau performance by implementing best practices and efficient data models.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality and integrity in Tableau visualizations.
• Create and maintain documentation for Tableau dashboards, including data sources and data flow diagrams.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Stay updated on Tableau features, enhancements, and industry trends to recommend improvements and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Tableau Developer or similar role, with strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
• Experience in data visualization and dashboard development using Tableau.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Tableau certification(s) is a plus.
